What are the rules ,limitations and constrains under the Indian law regarding the toddy and bhaang or other kind of desi wines?

Further it is legal, but legal and/or tolerated in several states such as West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa Tripura, and the North East due to Hindu customs DPS allows people to smoke pot or drink bhang so long as they can prove that they had consumed only the leaves and seeds of the cannabis plant.
NDPS prescribes a maximum sentence of six months for somebody found in possession of ganja up to one kilogram. In the case of a hard drug such as cocaine, the offender can get the same six-month sentence even for possessing two grams of it.
