Presence of complainant mandatory in consumer court or not

03-Jan-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
This is regarding a consumer case filed in District Forum. Received a message from Confonet - "Your case No__ is listed on 18/01/2017". What is the meaning of this information? Is the complainant required to remain present before the consumer forum on listing date?

Respected sir so for your query is concern is not clear. It depends upon circumstances of the case.
Did you have file the same through your counsel or personally?
If you have file the complaint personally and the matter is listed now for final argument it is mandatory for you to remain present and argue the matter in that vary day.

The information you have seen on internet is that your case is listed for hearing on the specific date. You or your advocate need to present in the court. Your presence is not compulsory in the consumer court proceedings. But I suggest you to appear in the court.
