Personal information given in matrimonial profile made public

I had made a matrimonial profile on Bharat matrimony and removed it after some time of usage but my personal information is still available on the net when i google my name. Can i take any action against the company for making my personal information public?
Yes there you can take stern action against the company for privacy violation , and under IT Act , but have to see all prospect clearly , and also can file for compensation if found violation on part of company , hence better meet , and be specific in what exactly you want , and understand the pros and cons in law .

Dear Querist,
You can issue a notice informing the fact that your profile has been deleted by you and that you would want your name to be deleted from thier website giving them 7 days time to delete u r name. If they dont comply u r request, file a consumer case for deficiency of services.
You can also file a mandatory injunction directing them to delete u r name by filing a suit.
