Hello Querist,

The RC is a necessary document and must be immediately provided by the vehicle seller/dealer.

This is a consumer issue and can be taken up in the jurisdictional consumer forum.

But before that, you can issue a legal notice to the dealer citing all the communication you have had thus far whereby you have asked the dealer for the RC and despite your requests he has not complied.

You can file a complaint against them in consumer dispute redressal forum gurugram and you can get compensation and harassment charges as the guidlines under motor vehicles act states that the rc should be provided within 2-3 three months and 8 months is a pretty long time...

First send legal notice through some advocate to the customer head of Tata. Plus can immediately file a complaint before the consumer forum gurugram and the court besides ordering the issue of RC will also order the compensation for harassment suffered by you. You can contact for details
