Need information on compensation amount

I won a case in district consumer court against IGNOU,ex parte. Court granted me compensation Rs 75,000 against demand of 14 lakh. Suddenly, IGNOU filed appeal in state forum, which has been accepted. Now that it will be heard fresh, with I having to produce arguments once again, can I ask for more money than 75K?
the appeal has been filed by the opposite party against the orders passed by the Consumer forum. when the matter is to be heard afresh you cannot change your pleadings or prayer clause. the court may change their orders by either giving you more compensation or even lesser or not at all depending on the merits of the case.

Since it was a exparte order at district consumer court, you will have to respond to defence raised by appellant in their appeal. And if you are able to convince court about your case then can prey for more compensation.
