Movers and packers damaged the goods, how to get compensation

25-Jan-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Transported my household items from Chennai to Trivandrum last week through packers and movers n Chennai. Received the household items with severe damages. Total charges for this is INR. 9800, we paid INR. 8000. No insurance. Packers says he will pay INR. 3000 as compensation which is not acceptable cos if I want to repair the damage it will cost me INR. 13000. I have all the call recordings from day one and the original and duplicate bill is with and got it signed from his employees that goods were damaged. What can I do now?

Dear client u have to send legal notice through lawyer to company for delivery of goods. If company will not deliver goods after serving notice then have to file case in consumer court. There is a judgment in this effect as well where the court directed the packers to pay compensation

You can send a lawyer notice regarding to this problem .since you have all the details regarding the transfer of the goods it will be more benefited one. We have to wait for their reply. If they are ready to pay our required amount we can leave them otherwise we can file a civil suit or consumer case as to the. Nature of the case.
