Lack of services by the agency can I file for consumer case

14-Nov-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I have entrusted an investigation case to an detective agency thru email. After hearing from the agency regarding the terms of entrustment, I have deposited agreed amount to the bank account mentioned in the email. According to the terms, the agency need to provide me the details of investigation thru photo & video on daily basis for 7 days soon after the reciept of payment. But, the agency has sent irrelevant photographs on the 4th day only inspite of repeated phone calls to them. On the same day, I have requested the agency on email to terminate the agreed task if it can not be completed on the 7th day of entrustment and make a refund immediately. For this, no response is received even after lapse of 5 days. It is confirmed thru mail track that the agency has read my mail after 8 hours it was sent. I have the telephonic recordings also. What is the next course of action to get my money back.

Hi
There is an agreement between you and private investigation agency for a service. You had already deposited the service charges as per the terms. If the investigation agency do not provide the necessary services then they are guilty ofor deficiency of service. You can file a consumer complaint and recover your money.
