Jewelry shop owner tuk a gold necklace & ring for alteration, refuses

My Mother gave a necklace and a ring for alteration to a jewellery shop, due to demonetization and father's health issue she was not able to go back and collect the jewellery back from the jewellar. Now the jewellar refuses that he has taken any jewellary from my mother. we have a bill 'jama parchi' but that is not on its letterhead. The weight and quantity is written on it. He s coming up with several stories that the 'jama parchi' u have is just the information you have inquired for. what can be done in this case,. The 'Jama parchi' which he has given has weight and quantity mentioned on it in his writing. Please siggest what shall we do.
This not a consumer case. It will come under the head of criminal case.you can directly lodge a FIR or a complaint against that jewellor. Jama parchi is an important evidence and it will work when the FIR or complaint is lodged.

You can file a case in consumer court for getting your jewellery back and damages you have suffered , further you can file a police complaint against the fraud done by jeweller. You must alsomake complaint to sales tax department against the jeweller that he is not giving proper receipts
