Item sold but not getting amount

We sold a buffalo to a merchant,he ask for payment in few days but till now he not pay amount.we visited him many times first he give many dates but now he not paying amount what we can do .....
If your buffalo was insured, you must have given those papers to him as well.
On the basis of those papers or any other written consent can help to in taking this matter before district court or consumer.
