Internet/Mobile Postpaid number payment issue what can be done

Hi Sir, I have used TATA-DOCOMO 3G Dongle in the past for internet services. Now I have settled abroad and I am here for more than 3 years now. And, I am getting emails for some balance payments claim as old as 3 years from some lawyers, else they will sue me in court. How can we get relieved ourselves from this stupid berocaracy issues. I personally went to their office paid back their device before leaving from India. Its like a harassment.

These are common tactics employed by some recovery agencies. Do enquire whether such person demanding money from you is really a lawyer, you may also request for such persons credentials such as where does he practise, his registration number etc.
If you have settled the claim and there are no dues pending there is nothing to worry about. Even otherwise the Serivce Provider cannot resort to illegal means to recover money from you. The only way lawyers will communicate with you is through a legal notice in writing and with a demand for the outstanding dues to be paid. Lawyers are professionals and will not threaten you on phone as they have a professional code of conduct and are not supposed to engage in any unethical activity such as threatening or intimidating their Clients opponent. I serioisly doubt if such calls are made by lawyers.
Do inform the Service Provider in writing about no dues from your side with proofs besides reporting such incidences of harassment by email or post and keep a record of such correspondances, receipts etc.
