International Roaming -Vodafone dispute

01-Aug-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I went to Bhutan on vacation and didn't request vodafone to activate my International Roaming. However they activated without my consent and charged me almost 4-5 times of my credit limit. Immediately after coming back I filed complaint but no respite so far. Infact from last 2 months they stopped my data and calling services which is impacting my work. I have been using this mobile no. from last 11 years and have never been defaulter. Recently their collection agent called to negotiate settling amount and my question is why should I pay for services which I never subscribed for. What legal option do i Have?

Hi, it's common these days that the mobile companies are practicing such like unfair trade practices.

Over and above this these mal practices, these companies never refund the proportionate service tax /GST portion amounts suo motu, even in cases where they are made to reverse such like unjustified charges on the customers.

Issuing a Legal Notice is the best recourse. Let the company also bear the charges for the legal action being taken.
