How to get money back from the developer of building

07-Sep-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I tried to purchase a flat in Gautam Green City, Ranchi back in 2011, and since then I have paid a total of 14 lakhs for the flat. The cost of the flat was 16 lakhs. I had applied for a home loan and it was approved but unfortunately, it was cancelled because the property turned out to be illegal (hudco case) and litigated. Also, the developer is currently in jail for a cyber crime..hence we have not yet got possession of the flat and it cannot be registered too! I only have the sale papers and receipts of cash and cheque payments. Please advise as to how I can get back my money back.

You can file a criminal case against the builder.
Also file a consumer case against him.
You need to expedite the matter so that the cases are filed prior to his coming out of jail and he is also remanded in your criminal case.
