How to file appeal to the case

06-Jun-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
District consumer court passed the order in favor of complainant and ordered to refund the full bill amount of 15k instead of 30k. Can we go for appeal for this case or anyway to get it rectified by district court itself?

You can file an appeal before the State Commission & after going through the order copy the grounds can be concluded and the basis for passing such inadequate compensation can be evaluated. Further you can file a review but that also needs an order copy reading.

Hello,

If you are aggrieved by the District Consumer Forum's order, you can file set aside petition in the forum to set aside its order within 30 days of passing of the order. If the forum doesn't set aside its order, you can prefer an appeal in the State commission.

Answer: The issue is only regarding to error in writing judgement and not related to law. Hence, you have to file review petition before the same court.
