Criminal Case pending against company can i also file consumer case

I, as an individual, hired a software company for developing a mobile application. They took 2 (out of 3) instalments and then abruptly decided to stop the project and asked me to take it elsewhere. I have filed a criminal complaint against the company. But since it is taking some time to get resolved, can I simultaneously initiate a complaint in Consumer Court. Is that possible?
Sir, if you had hired the software company for developing a application for what purpose, if it is for business or sale purpose , you had a agreement for the same, if u file a cusumer case u need all documents and the damage caused due to there incomplete work, u can ask under breach ofcontract if any eexisting between u both, or breach of trust for in complete work.

Yes, there is no bar in filing a consumer complaint after you have filed a criminal complaint. In a consumer complaint you will be claiming for compensation of an amount. First you need to send a legal notice.
