Company not refunding me for defected product what to do

i have baught a slim belt from a tv, as i dont like it so i tried to give it back to the company bu company refused to fund me back as, they have said me to fund me back i i dont like or it doesn't work.

you should go to consumer court and all the bills of the purchase made with the record of communications and their reply. also you should demand your money back and compensation for mental harassment.

As you mentioned that, you bought a belt to make your body slim on their (company) assurances or advertisements on tv.
Here are two things happens generally -- 1. The company had laid down some terms & conditions for their return policy on particular products with TIME LIMIT or on PRODUCT CONDITION.
2. Some times the companies shows their reluctantness to accept the products which are sold once without any reason.
and the solution in your case is that if the you are within the time limit or product condition was good at the time of return as per terms and condition then you can go with a complaint in District Consumer Forum against the company in your respective area as per Jurisdiction but if you are not returning the products as per their return policy then you do not have any legal remedy, because you have entered in an buyers agreement when you bought the product from the company.
and if No.2 condition is there in you case then you can also go for the relief against the company in District Consumer Forum.
