Company denying for free service do I have any legal rights

21-Oct-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
My laptop is only two years old and it is not functioning well, so I took it to the service center today. After examining it (not in front of my eyes, but in a separate room) they said the mother board and keyboard all have to be changed. It will cost about Rs. 30,000/- I bought it only two years ago for over Rs. 50,000/-. I said will there be warranty of the parts? They said it will be for three months. I think this is a huge cheating of customers to make money by selling sub standard machines, where mother board and key board has to be changed after two years. what are my legal rights

Hello, generally when the warranty expires company denies the free service and consumer pays for it. But legally you have few rights when you have purchased a product which breaks down before reasonable time. You can claim the amount you have spent for repairing and also some compensation as it broke down before reasonable time. Please feel free to contact me for further assistance and to take legal steps. Regards, Advocate Pritha Basu.
