Can the company stop the salary after giving notice period

I am working i an Pvt Ltd Company as website designer, i have given notice period to my company of 15 days. I got acceptance on letterhead with Boss sign, i didn't sign any contract. But after serving notice period they are not paying my salary, they are saying we are not going to pay your salary. from the starting i am getting salary via cheque only, Is there any way to get my salary fast?
Serve a legal notice upon the employer for recovery of your salary. If they do not respond then you shall take appropriate legal action by filing a suit and theough other channels. The employer is bound to pay you salary for the notice period as well.
