Can claim for Fee refund from coaching institute be done if opting out

I joined a coaching center in mid-May and paid the full amount for course duration of 8 months. now I am opting out of coaching so can I get the partial refund. Coaching management is denying any refund.
you have to pay for the service which is used by you.
there is no law to pay full fee without getting services.
you can ask to refund partial amount.
