Builder absconding can consumers file case against builder's co worker

"A" is builder. "B" is a just handling the "A"'s website related work [website maintenance, website promotion etc.]. "B" give reference of this builder's property to his friends for booking. and after 1.5 years suddenly builder ["A"] run away. This is shoking news for "B" also. Now all "B"s friend claim on "B". And They all have put "B"'s name in FIR. Now "B" 's intention was not a wrong then how can they put name in FIR. Can you please give legal advice to "B"? to get it out from all this matter.
If B has been acting as agent and has received consideration for the work then B will be responsible for the acts. If B has not been acting as agent and not promoting the businesses of A through his agent he will not be responsible. Need to see the document and FIR for further advice.
