Bank charged overdue charges even after paying all the dues on time

19-Aug-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I have a two wheeler loan account from family credit. They charged overdues charges but while checking my account details and my loan statement, they charged overdues even after paying the EMI on time.

A lot of variables come into play here. If the payment is realized by the bank after the due date, they charge a late fee or overdue charges as stated in the question. However, the date of payment is what is to be seen in such situations i.e. when the money was tendered. If that date is before the due date for paying the EMI, you can call upon the bank to adjust the late fee/overdue charge which were wrongly added.

Hello
I have gone through your query and I would suggest following:
Send a legal notice to bank, if they don't agree file a consumer complaint and also a complaint to banking ombudsman. You can file a criminal complaint also or fraud
Thanks

Kindly clarify with the bank that why and what overdue charges have they charged from you. once you get the clarity from the bank you can sort it then and their with the bank itself. if still you are not satisfied with the conduct of the bank then you may file a case in the consumer forum against them.
