Agent took money for admission, now not keeping his promise

11-Aug-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I have taken admission In Nagarjuna University for BEd course through an Agent in 2016 for the vatch 2016-2018. He demanded Rs, 80,000/- course fees excluding exam fees, conveyance charge, certificate fees etc. I have given him Rs 41000/- for first year. Later I came to know that the university complete course fees is Rs 40000/-. The agent admitted me in a college which is very far from city, and don't have proper communication facility. before admission I clearly told him that college must be near to railway station. he assured me at that time. for that reason I was unable to give exam and even he was unable to provide me the address of exam. First I asked for refund but he clearly denied. I said OK. at least give me my college leaving certificate and migration certificate for my higher study. He is demanding more Rs 45000/- money to give me certificate. He is playing with my career. Kindly suggest me what should I do?

Kindly lodge a police complaint with the nearest PS stating that the Agent has cheated you. Police should register an FIR. If police does not lodge FIR, file a complaint case before the concerned Magistrate, if there are enough evidence on record to make out a prima facie case for cheating or else make a petition before the magistrate to direct the police to investigate the matter. Also, communicate your grievance to the higher authorities of the University regarding CLC and MC.
