Agent being framed for the losses of company Police involved as well

17-Apr-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
My dad is agent to a private firm. The company is running into losses and is not able to refund the money for the customers whose maturity date is crossed. My dad clients raised a police complaint against him claiming he is the responsible person for their loss. While investing money into this private firm they all signed the bond and we have all the paperwork .My dad went to company's head office multiple times to solve the issue but in vain. Problem is the the DSP of my area is a LLB himself and he warns my dad that if he can't get this issue solve he will take action against him. Please suggest what my dad can do to keep himself legally protected. Thanks in advance for the help.

As per the doctrine of vicarious liability, the agent has the immunity towards the claims of the third party. The third can sue his principal for all the wrongs that have been committed by the company due to unforeseen circumstances. Thus, the agent in this case i.e, your father is not liable for the same.
