Dear Sir What is the time limit to file the contempt petition in CAT when its order has not complied with by the Govt. Officials? It is to be noted that, the CAT has not given any time limit to comply its order. Thank you
If no time limit was fixed by the court the limitations to file contempt petition is one year from the date of order or from the date of communication of the order to the concerned department after expiry of one year you can file it with cause of delay

File an execution petition in CATrequesting a specific time . Represent to govt with CAT order . if govt. Goes in appeal ,matter is different or else wait till time frame given by court for execution expires to file contempt.

There is no such time limit when CAT has not specified date directed by cat.However a resonable time may be given for implementation.Ask your lawyer to give a reminder to the authority with the order copy.Wait for 2-3 months then you can file contempt in CAT
