A son have his right in the ancestral property when he get majority and/or after demise of father. Father have right to sell/transfer the property what he has earned during his life time by his own resources. He can also write a will in favor of any one. Father can also sale ancestral property for education/livelihood and for marriage of children.

Hello

1. if father is alive and the property is self acquired property of father then it totally upto the father to make or create any right of his any successor (Wife, Daughter, Son or any other relative).

2. if the father died intestate ( without any will ) then it rights of all successors would automatically create in the property in equal ratio.

3. if the property is ancestral and father is only Manager or Karta of Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) of the property then the son is also have equal rights in the property.
