We(residents) want to object setting up of new liquor shop in our area

21-Mar-2023 (In Civil Law)
In the light of recent SC order against running liquor shop within 500mt of highways, the liquor shop in my village is being moved from the highway to residential area. All families ( a bunch of them without an adult male, but single females and impressionable kids) living around the chosen location to setup the liquor shop are voicing against it. We all have signed and submitted requests with Andhra Pradesh State Excise Minister, our local SI, MRO and Excise CI. But we are not sure if there is going be an action from the Govt. or the bureaucracy soon enough to stop the licensee of the shop to begin construction and operation by April 1st. So I would like to know if there a provision in the law for the residents to object operation of a liquor store in their residential area. Also have there been any cases or PILs been filed in HCs or SC. Me being a layman in terms of law haven't been able to fiqure anything out myself. Any (quicker) help in this regard would be well appreciated.

You can move the High court for stay against such act in violation of the previous order. The direction should be given to excise authorities from restraining to opening of liquor shop within the prohibited area..
