Definitely you are entitled for Govt., employment as i assume that you have completed minimum service of five years required to qualify your self as Ex service man.
The upper age limit and reservation quota depends on the requirements of the job advertised, and you have very fair chance of securing job without any difficulty. You have not informed the designation and your academic qualifications. Please prepare IBPS, as there are thousands of vacancies (If you have minimum qualifications). Join some good coaching center and prepare well for the examination. The quota given to Ex service men has to be carried forward and they can not fill the quota otherwise.
Please read all the posts, and several private airlines are also coming at several places and you will definitely get a good placement. You may at the maximum face a delicate situation if interviewer asks you for reasons of discharge from service and be prepared to answer it in a positive manner without blaming your employer. As you have free time and served the Country for ten years, serve the community by joining RTI movement, involve yourself in knowing people and govt., better, and try to help less mortals with the discipline you have brought in with your experience. Welcome to the portal, and please go through RTI Guide, learn the RTI Act, step by step, evince keen interest, develop your soft skills and more computer knowledge.
Search some important sites that offer employment and IBPS site etc., to know latest position and qualification. Join if there is an ex service men organistion at your place. Involve in community building with RTI Act. All the best.
