Noise pollution due to a temple in our street

there was a street temple in our area where loud noises are made in the form of drums and loud speakers during a festival period which lasts for 5 days. our mental health is being damaged because of this. does the police have the right to give permission for this? if the police are not responding then how can i confront this people?

You could file a private complaint before the Magistrate. In case of nuisance, the Magistrate is empowered to take action under section 133 of CrPC and remove the nuisance. The Magistrate has to order removal of such nuisance within a time to be fixed in the order.
