Noise and disturbance due to companies with night working hours

There are a few companies next to our residence. They operate through out the night and their machines make a lot of noise. We are unable to get sound sleep and are now facing stress. Please can you confirm if any legal action can be taken against them. It seems that our plot is under Residential zone and theirs is Industrial zone.
