No payments made since two years by government officer

24-Dec-2023 (In Civil Law)
I am a office equipment supplier. For last two years I have a payment pending in a government department. I have written letters, sent bills asking to clear the dues but no payment has been made since two years. What legal action can I take against the responsible officer? Please explain the process and estimated expenses I would have to bear.

You can give a leagle notice to chair person for clear all dues and give him 1 month for clear all dues if after 1month no any responce from department then you can file a suit for recovery of your all dues

Dear Sir as you mentioned you have bills against equipment supply . You can send request letter to account department asking payment status. Apart you should file case for payment attaching all invoice and sale reciepts. You must attach the previous payment with seal of compitent authority

Hello sir,
Since it is a Government department it is advisable that you send out a legal notice (under section 80 Civil Procedure Code 1908). In the notice give details of your claim and give them 2 months time to make good the claim. If they fail to pay you within that time then you can file a civil recovery suit against the department. Thanks
