Lost Pan-Card how to avoid misuse

i have lost my pan card...what will happen if some one misuses it,,,,,,is filing fir is enough for the future security...or i should do any thing else...
It's good that you filed FIR . Keep your FIR copy Safe .but you have also intimate incomtax department about missing of your PAN card and apply for the new PAN card and give affidavit that you lost your PAN card
