it is legal to Scan Without Doctor Prescription

Is it legally allowed to take any Scan(Ex: Stomach & Knee Scanning) in the Scanning centres without the necessary prescriptions from Doctor? directly to the patient ?
With ref your post is not allowed legally and should take necessary permission from the doctor to get prescription and it can be sue for medical negligence before the appropriate forum hope I clarified your answer thank you
