Is declaration of property necessary in Govt. service.

i had purchased a plot in 2008. i am in a govt service .i joined in 2007 .as i was new in service i did not know the rules hence i could not declare the purchase of property to deparment as per rule .later on when i came to know about that rule regarding intimation of purchase of property 2yrs later still i did not declare fearing departmental disciplinary action. now 8 yrs after purchase of that property i want to declare my purchased property to department. purchase is of total legal money . is there any law which can protect me from departmental action due to delay in intimation

Once you got the knowledge about intimation of property then you can do it.
while giving the details you need to mentioned this point for delayed declaration. If your explanation is satisfactory no action taken on you.
