Is audit necessary if detailed scrutiny has already taken place

My detail scrutiny of my form done by range office and got report , told verbally tat those audit don't happen have to do scrutiny ans audit will not happen for the same firm , but soon after tat notice of scrutiny by range office and verification done for scrutiny , audit notice came from audit circle office to sit for audit I want to know whether we have to sit for audit after details scrutiny done by range office
If it is required in the terms and conditions of your employment as well as the rules and regulation of your company then you will have to comply to the same. Also, it is not illegal on their behalf to ask for the same however, as the authorities consented not to take any audit then they are bind by the doctrine of promissory estoppel which will bar them from asking the same.

it is in your own interest to sit for audit with your C.A. so that the queries get properly attended to.the range office was not within their right to say orally that audit does not happen again for already audited firm. If at any stage they find anamolies during examination of sample test cases ; they can always commence re-audit .
