How to get refund from a fraud lawyer

I was cheated four lacs by someone. I hired a lawyer to help me out. He took advance Rs 22000 as his fee. Now lawyer abandoned my case without taking a single step. I am cheated again. How to get refund back from the lawyer?
You have to file complaint against the Lawyer at Advocates association with all the documentary proof. It is always mandatory to maintain records which regard to money transfer. Do you have any records to show that you have paid the Lawyer?

Some lawyers would charge even rs.50k for one hour consuktation. If you had hired a lawyer and has not done any work, then you can ask him to refund the amount. If he still cannot refund the amount, you can complain the same to Bar Council.
