How can i file a mental harassment case against my cousin

Sir my maternal cousins wife has left his home as she was unhappy with him. Once she left the house, my cousin has been blaming me for this stuff. he has defamed me all over by telling that his wife used to be in contact with me and so left the house. I have only single proof that his wife says its her wish to not to stay with him as he was harrasing him. so what legal option do i have to sue my maternal cousin and get myself out of this mental harrasment.hindu law
Hi, since he is your cousin before approaching the court of law you can send a Legal Notice to him asking him to stop spreading words against you else you would be constrained to take legal action. In case he still continues to do so you can file a defamation case against him.
