Drink & Drive case will I be fined as per new laws

19-Apr-2023 (In Civil Law)
I have been caught driving drunk in the month of Jan'17 in Pune and have been given a date to appear in court on 29th April 2017. I am the first time offender. Please suggest if it will be just fine or there are any chances of being imprisonment as well. Also, will I be fined as per new rules applied from 1st April?

Punishment and fine is always on courts discretion which i wont be able to predict. Kindly go along with Lawyer, just in case if you get any strict punishment then a lawyer will immediately be able to bail you out. Kindly note that the drink and driving laws have become really strict and it is good for everyone. Drink and drive is extremely dangerous, it is at all not safe for you and neither for the other innocent people around you. Now onward kindly act responsible and avoid drink and driving it could have turn ugly.
