Defamation by a policeman how to punish him

17-May-2023 (In Civil Law)
I met this policeman on a wrking day whr I assisted him for his shopping. Aftr quitting my job he got my number from my wrkplace. Then he called me, tried to propose me even after telling him that I hv a bf he kept on calling me n msging as well. Meanwhile I was facing trouble in my relationship, till the time that person literally brainwashd me that he's thr to support, so that I can rectify the issues in my relationshp. Sometimes he told me that he's like a big bro n sometimes he became flirtatious. I never liked his flirts n always told him that I respect him n never hv feelings for him coz I just love my bf. I met him twice fr one or two hours as he insisted many a times, but in public places. While I was thinking that he is a nice person n a well wisher friend... he said irrelevant n unrealistic stories at my workplace to my ex senior that I had sex with him, he lied that he has my compromising video n objectionable pictures while I never done anything wrong. Please tell me how to punish him?

You can frame him as per your convenience, since this is a matter of women security and of immense importance the police will take immediate action against him , it is not just about the defamation which you are talking of , actually it is more about the harassment and stalking along with the criminal intimidating so go freely and lodge a complaint against him he will not go Scot free

You have both criminal and civil remedies at your disposal. I can only. Comment after seeing the chain of messages and text etc. But this is a fit case for defamation, harassment and endangering the modesty of a woman

Dear Ma'am,

Please note that, on the basis of the information published by you, you have two broad options available to you.

1. You could either approach the Station House Officer (SHO) of the relevant Police Station to initiate a complaint against the concerned officer.

2. You could approach the Court to file a Complaint under Section 156(3) of the Cr.P.C. to request filing of a FIR and investigation upon the same against the concerned officer. You would be required to comply with necessary sanction/permission, should the same be applicable in your case.

Regards,
