Debarred students regarding attendance

27-Nov-2023 (In Civil Law)
My college has debarred 73 students due to poor attendance. They were not allowed to sit for the semester exams and are asked to take re admission, that is, for the next six months they don't attend college and repeat the academic year in 2017-2018. They have filed a petition against the college and are going to court tomorrow. Should they just beg for mercy or first fight with not so valid points because the college is correct in a way?

If you can find sufficient faults in maintaining the attendance you have a good case to fight. However the count of 73 is too much and the reasons or excuses or faults would not be sufficient to cover the entire count of 73. And even if it is sufficient it would not be reasonably just in the eyes of law. Therefore Mercy is the safer way to move ahead. If the college has reduced the mandatory attendance to any lesser level(>75%) as obligatory by the university, the college may find it difficult to succeed. However if the 73 students have 0% or single digit attendance then such students can only wait for the next year, or expect a miraculous mercy from the kind judges presiding in the Hon'ble Court.

When someone is barred, they are not allowed to enter. To debar someone is the same as to bar them. You cant attend a school if you are debarred. When a politician has been debarred, it means they have been removed from office.
