Criminal case pending against me, will i be eligible for govt. job

Sir I get job in Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd but a case pending on me user IPC section 143,144,506. I am arrested for one day in this case . I mentioned all this details in Attestation Form.can I get this job or appointment letter?
There is no condition precedent for such criteria but background check is nowdays a very common phenomena which most of the company in private as well as in government sector follows but on the basis of such criteria no employer can reject the application otherwise fundamental rights as prescribed in law will be affected.
