Clarification on next court hearing requirement

The below is the status of my sisiter's divorce case. what is the next step she must do? kindly tell us , whether she should go to court on the mentioned date or no need to go. Business : Petitioner present. examined as pw1. Affidavit of the petitioner is treated as examination in chief of pw1 and the same is recorded Ex.P1 to p5 marked . For perusal and order.

After Affidavit of the petitioner is treated as examination in chief of pw1 and the same is recorded Ex.P1 to p5 marked,later this matter was coming for Cross examination of pw1,it is a need for petitioner to attend the court to prove the contents of the case.

You must attend court for cross Examination and further steps will follow i.e.. Your further evidence of your side.after closing of your side evidence than Respondant evidence will start.each and every adjournment you need not present.

It is mandatory to each party to attend the case on each date of adjournment. Particulars are insufficient. Who filed divorce case whether your sister or her husband. Who filed the affidavit. Whoever filed the divorce case it is must to attend the case on each date of adjournment. Whether have you obtained legal assistance. If not take expert legal assistance by engaging an advocate who deals with divorce cases.

From the above narration we understand that the Respondent is Exparte- has not appeared inspite of serving notice. If that is the case then the court will go through the documents before it and shall pass order.
The Order in most cases will be allowing the prayer in the Petition. Your sister's presence is not necessary. However to know what order is passed she better appears before the court. Other wise she can apply for the certified order copy.
