Can I sue advocate for not appearing in the court at appointed date

An advocate after perusing the case papers agreed to appear on behalf of us and taken vakkatat in his favour and taken the fees for this, has failed to appear before the court on the appointed day. Consequently the suit was dismissed. Under these circumstances please enlighten us on :1 Can I file a complaint with the concerned Bar Council on his violation of professional ethics2.Can I file a suit terming the act of the advocate as ‘cheating’3.Can I take this matter with the consumer forums as deficiency in services4 Can I file an affidavit with the court explaining the above reasons and pray
