Can I send a defamation warning notice via a lawyer if I'm abroad?

22-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
I am currently living in the UK. My daughter married a guy in India (2009). In 1 month, In our absence the husband along with his parents hit my daughter and forced her out of the house in the middle of the night. My cousin then made her come back to the UK. Following that along with his family they sent my daughter a divorce (muslim). We didn't issue any legal proceedings against them before or after, despite their outrageous behaviour of asking for dowry during the marriage. The guy now has two identities in two towns of gujarat (first in Valsad, and new one in Daman - due to the Portuguese passport claims). Since then they are defaming us causing many marriage proposals for my daughter to break. Whenever, we receive a marriage proposal they contact the boys side and defame my daughter horribly by slandering her character and such, which leads to the end of any relationship. I wanted to know whether I can send a notice via a lawyer as I am abroad? Also what actions can I take?

By sending notice is of no use as we don't know which is the original identity of that person , secondly I would suggest u to complain in police station and file a FIR underse 498 A , and than u can file a divorce case and maintenance u can ask them. As sitting in UK u cannot do anything as u need do follow up .if he is doing bad to ur daughter u shd also do the same.
