Can i file a writ petition in SC before HC

07-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
I had been working as Assistant Professor at Pondicherry University under IPLS project sponsored by DBT, Govt. of India and resident of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. As per appointment letter it promised me salary in Pay Band of INR 13500-6000-39100/- but later on reduced it to INR 54,000/- consolidated citing reasons that funds weren't available. Moreover, according to the agreement made between me and the University my appointment was suppose to be of permanent nature. I had filed an writ petition (No. 30038, year 2015) in Madras High Court can I go to Supreme court.

Dear Sir,

Please confirm the present status of your WP 30038 of 2015. If the case disposed against you. You can file Writ Appeal in the Madras High Court and seek remedy. If it is disposed again against you. You can move supreme court for remedy.

You have already filed Writ Petition before Madras High Court and it is pending disposal. You cannot move Supreme Court in this circumstance. This being a service dispute, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) is the correct forum.
