Can i file a case against guy if he refused to marry

My marriage was fixed with a guy. Families met gifts were exchanged. But the guy refused just one month before marriage without giving any reason. Now the family is also not willing to talk or answer. Can i file a case against him or his family? Please advice Thank you
You can maximum file a case of defamation against the person and his family and also send him a notice telling him to return the gifts which you had given him and the family.please consult a local lawyer for further advice.
