Yes, of course. Disobedience of any directive/order/judgement by a court of law is a punishable offence. As for your particular case, even status quo when ordered by a court falls in the above category.

It is there on statute. But it is very very difficult such disobedience. There are 101 defences for you. Your words will be normally believed and your bonafide explanation will be accepted with warning.

It Amounts to civil contempt and the high Court on an application of the party can order for attachment of the property or order for the person to be detained in the civil custody.

Yes the person can be put to civil prison only upon an application is made by the opposite party, and if their is a ample proof of evidence to prove that the court Order is violated. The discretion of the court is most important in such cases.

Yes he can be put in civil prison subject to follow up on due process of Law
A misselenious appeal shall be filed for contempt of court order
An enquiry and evidence conducted if found primafacie Case as to violation of court order the Court pass an order for Civil prison, this contempt petition proceeds along with Main Case
