Hi, in the month of October we met by Bharat matrimony. Interest was sent by me . He accepted and we got connected. When we did video call as he was in USA I found that we are not matching by physique as he was slimmer than mi. So I asked him for this. He said I liked you so I don't have that problem . I cleared this many times but he was confirmed on his decision. So we moved ahead and continue video chat. We expressed our love for each other too. He said we will marry I will come to India . My parents would like to see you. They took did video calling with me. And called my dad for formal meeting in Pune. He came in month of Jan we met on Pune all family members. They all liked me said yes and invite us to there home in Mumbai. We went there after two days everybody is happy. Everything is got fixed like marriage will be at month of June and at Mumbai. It will be proper if you take paid consultancy to compensate the lawyer's stock-in-trade required to advise you. The fact you had mentioned it is not practically possible to give legal solution to ur problem.

In this Tika Ceremony were there any gifts exchanged like clothes, jewellery or any other costly items?

Ideally there is no legality involved if the marriage is not solemnized, rather it is betterment for both as they/either of party has decided not to marry. You may approach Police for claiming expenses or returning gifts(if any) incurred and if any bookings made for hall & marriage preparations etc.

Let me begin with expressing my sympathies with what happened to you. It is quite disheartening to have a marriage called off. From legal perspective, you can proceed under criminal law for breach of trust and fraud against the guy and his parents. But any such action will have it's ugly consequences, including wastage of time and money.

Marriage happens with the consent of both the parties. Hence , there is no legal remedy unless the boy has had physical relations with you and then refused marriage or the boy has taken any monetary benefits from you

If the boy has had physical relations or has taken monetary benefits from you then you have the legal remedy as cheating that can be filed against the boy

You can lodge a complaint with the police on the ground that he promised to marry you and breached your trust but now he is refusing, The act of this guy amounts to cheating as defined in Section 415, I.P.C. and as such prima facie amounts to an offence under Section 417, I.P.C.
