As a Lawyer can i practice in a specific field only ?

Recently I have enrolled in bar council. I want to deal only Insurance related matter. Can I start my "Insurance Legal Services" if yes then what should I do for it.
Can i advertise for the same and also can i associate with LIC and likes and if yes then how ?
Request you to please help me.
All the best beta .if you want to deal only insurance related matter you can do it ,you can also advertise it and initially it would be better for you to associate with some insurance company .or you can join any law firm which is doing for insurance litigation

You can practice as per your choice though their is no such rule that you cannot practice in field. It depends on you. As a lawyer you cannot start a firm or company nor can work n receive salary as it is barred under advocate act but working in local as insurance agent is another thing as u r receiving commission not a salary

As a registered lawyer you are free to practice in any of your chosen area ,there are some restriction related to patent lawyers excluding such exception you are free to practice any field !Kindly go through Advocates Rule of 1961 .
