Aadhar card misuse concern what can be done

18-Jan-2023 (In Civil Law)
Hi I had a requirement to apply for a True copy of mothers will, for which i went to Asif Ali road. The Advocates sitting there told me that they will charge me Rs 1500 for the service. I will have to leave my original aadhar card and mother death certificate with them. After they get the true copy they will return the aadhar card. My concern is that since i handed over my original Adhar card to a person, there is a possibility of misuse. So should i submit a FIR or ask the person to provide me a written statment that he had my Adhar Card for this duration and he didnt misused it. I realized my mistake bit late, and now i am bit worried.

No there is no need to worry. This is only your think that he will misuse it.. May be he will not misuse may be he can misuse. There is no surity of that. But think positive, you cannot lodge fir against him without any such evidence of misuse. You can only doubt him. You can ask him for written statement. If he agrees so weel n good.

There is not much to worry about on this score. It is not easy to misuse Aadhar data but to be in the safe side you can write to this person recording the sequence of events and have it acknowledge the letter or email

Since it is biometric based, there is hardly any chance of it being misused, but still if you are so suspicious about the persons whom you handed over your documents , you can ask them politely not to use them for any other purposes . Nowadays wherever and whenever adhar is used the registered number generally recieves a message for the same . So no need to worry as it can'nt be used but you want to be completely sure about it then after collecting your documents you can register an online fir of lost adhar , despite being it in your possession, that can nullify all the transaction took place between the said period. If any untoward things done by any other person can easily be refuted in that case. So don't worry .
