How to proceed forward for child custody

My husband threatening me to divorce. I have 6 month boy child and he is with me now and I came back to my father's home. We soon start divorce process. Is there any possibility my husband can take my child away from me? How can I ensure his custody with me?
Hi basically by the age of 5 years the natural guardian of child is mother except some other extreme conditions . At this stage the child will reside with you though court may grant permission to father for meeting the kid.After the age of 5 yrs. the court may decide the best future custody of kid depending upon all the concerned factors.

Law says that a child can be retains with his mother until he got the age 5 years old. So, you can easily retain your child with you because he is only 6 months old and you can ensure your baby for future by giving your mother's love to him and depends upon the desire of baby and also court will see the welfare of your child at that time I. e. Father or Mother.
