Being a father of the child you have every right to visit your child and in case if your wife denies or opposes for your visit to child then you can file a case before Family Court and seek permission of the Court for visits or spending time with your child.
Secondly you can file a case for the custody of your child Guarduans and Wards Act 1890 and Hindu Minority & Guardianship Act 1956.
In the case of a boy or girl the father and after him, the mother, provided that the custody of a minor who has not completed the age of 5 years shall ordinarly be with the mithers.

You may approach the court to exercise your visitation rights. You must however ensure that you have not ill treated the child and also, the interest of the child is going to be the main deciding factor, in determining whether your right may be exercised.
